House of Hohenzollern commemorative medal. The Hohenzollern Commemorative Medal for 1848-1849 Campaign was instituted by the King of Prussia Friedrich Wilhelm IV on August 23, 1851 in association with the House Order of Hohenzollern. It was awarded to officers and soldiers who remained loyal during the rebellions of 1848 and 1849.
